Cloud9 won the RGN Pro Series Championship after seeing off Renegades 16-12 on de_cache.

The RGN Pro Series Championship saw a seventeen-hour-long playoff day take place as eight teams fought through a double elimination, best-of-three bracket.

With a one-map advantage in their favor due to coming from the Upper Bracket, Cloud9 came out really well and won the pistol round and the following two anti-ecos to start off the game with a strong 3-0 lead. Renegades then bought up and finally managed to win a round, but Cloud9 responded immediately after, leaving the Australians' economy in shambles.

Renegades took some time to build up their bank, with the scoreline blooming to a 6-1 disadvantage. But the Australian team looked very solid during the later stages of the half, bringing the deficit down to just three rounds when the break came.

Cloud9 win second domestic event in a row

An A fake by Renegades in the pistol round failed to produce any results as the former Vox Eminor side found themselves in a 3-vs-5 situation early on and were unable to turn things around.

Cloud9 added the following four rounds to their tally, which propelled them into a commanding 14-6 lead. Renegades then picked themselves up and won six of the following seven rounds to put some pressure on Cloud9, who kept their composure and closed out the game when many believed that it would go to overtime.
